Who is Nesso Notes for?

Nesso Notes is built for licensed therapists who want faster, clearer, compliant documentation without changing how they practice. Whether you see clients in person, via telehealth, or both, Nesso adapts to your workflow.

How is Nesso Notes different from ChatGPT?

Nesso is purpose‑built for clinical documentation. Instead of starting from scratch by building your own prompts and instructions, you get tools designed specifically for the clinical workflows of mental health therapists. Unlike ChatGPT, Nesso signs a BAA and handles PHI in compliance with HIPAA.

Do I have to record my sessions?

No — Nesso Notes never records sessions. After your session (in person or telehealth), you dictate a brief recap and Nesso drafts the note. Clients never get recorded, no extra client consent.

Does Nesso Notes have integrations with EHRs?

You can copy and paste your note into any EHR.

Privacy and Security

Is Nesso HIPAA compliant?

Yes. Nesso is independently audited for HIPAA compliance by VanRein Compliance, an independent HIPAA compliance firm.

How long are transcripts stored?

Transcripts are stored for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically. You can delete them sooner at any time.

Does Nesso record or store audio?

Nesso never records your sessions. Dictation audio is deleted immediately after the transcript is generated.
